Just south of San Juan del Sur, Playa Remanso is a small, sheltered crescent-shaped bay known for its relaxed atmosphere and gentle, beginner-friendly surf. Its sandy bottom and generally manageable waves make it one of the area’s best places to learn to surf, while the beachside restaurants and surf shacks make it an easy spot to spend the afternoon with food, drinks, and a beautiful Pacific sunset.
